Winter air can be dry and fireplaces tend to remove moisture from the air. But a steamer or kettle left on the hearth near a burning fire, can slowly replace small amounts of moisture in your home's circulation. These decorative kettles have an old fashioned but decorative appeal. Hearth kettles were used before electricity to provide hot water for tea or coffee.
The Black Cast Iron Kettles are constructed of cast iron with a black painted finish. Available in two sizes, these kettles are still used to create humidity as the kettle absorbs heat from the fireplace fire. Sizes include 2.5 quart or the 5 quart. Each 2.5 quart kettle measures 9-½” x 8-¼” x 5-¾” and the 5 quart kettle measures 12” x 9-½” x 7-½”. The painted finish prevents rust and corrosion, but these are not designed to be used for drinking water. Only one kettle per order.
