Each piece of cookware is oven-proof (should not be used under the broiler) and dishwasher safe for fast and easy clean-up. Clear tempered glass lids allow for viewing during the cooking process and fit tight to seal in nutrients and flavor. All handles and knobs are heavy gauge for easy handling, and are permanently welded for long life. All stainless steel cookware sets come with either a 25 or 50 year limited warranty, except for the electric skillet.
Stainless Steel is an alloy beginning with basic iron with up to 8 alloys added. The major alloys in stainless steel are chromium and nickel. Chromium is added to provide rust and corrosion resistance and durability while nickel gives additional rust resistance and hardness. Stainless steel cookware has numbers ranging from 18/0 to 18/8 which refer to the percentage of chromium and nickel that has been added. In cookware, stainless steel is usually 18% chromium and 8% to 10% nickel. All of Kinetic's stainless steel cookware is made of the highest quality 18/10 material, and all pieces go through 18 polishing steps in the finishing process. Cookware pieces with a non-stick surface contain a coating made by Whitford. This is a three-coat, high cure, internally reinforced, nonstick coating designed to outlast other coatings. It is different from other non-stick coatings in that the basecoat contains a combination of resins and unusually hard materials creating a far higher percentage of special reinforcing elements.
